FAQ’s

Is it more effective to work with you in person or over the phone?

There is no difference in effectiveness between working in person and over the phone. If you are local, then it’s your choice if you’d like to meet in person, however, working over the phone saves driving time.

How do I prepare for a session?

Situate yourself in a calm and quiet location where you will not be disturbed for one full hour. If you are in your office, please ensure the ring volume is down on your desk phone or cell phone. It’s also helpful to have water to drink.

The main tool that I’ll be using to help you is called Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) and it involves tapping with the fingertips on pressure points on the face and body. Prior to our first session you can familiarize yourself with the tapping points located to the right. We’ll review the points before we get started so you’re comfortable and we may use additional points, but I will always guide you. The tapping is a forgivable process, so you don’t have to get it “right.” Use your dominant hand if you’re a beginner, and tap gently. If your arm gets tired, you can switch hands and tap on the other side of the body.

What is Emotional Freedom Techniques?

Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) is considered an emotional version of acupuncture. Acupuncture is rooted in thousands of years of Chinese medicine, used to address physical ailments and disease. American Psychologist, Dr. Roger Callahan, began incorporating acupuncture into his practice by tapping with the fingertips on pressure points as opposed to using needles. He evolved the technique to working on emotional issues with faster and more permanent results than his traditional talk therapy. Gary Craig, a Stanford graduate and student of Dr. Callahan’s, refined the technique for everyday use and coined the term Emotional Freedom Techniques. He used EFT in his practice as a personal performance coach to resolve blocks to success. The technique involves stimulating pressure points on the face and body by tapping with the fingertips and is effective with a wide range of difficulties. Positive results are often achieved in one or two sessions, as opposed to months or years.
